Since launching, the company has processed more than 110 million transactions worth $15 billion for more than16,000 active businesses both large and small.

The company integrates to more than 350 e-commerce shopping cart platforms, and a network of custom integration development partners, meaning it will work for any business that wants to grow by accepting digital payments.

According to a company statement, it will also leverage its global relationship with accounting software provider, Netsuite, for online payments within large enterprises.

Webjet Exclusives has already chosen eWAY as the payments partner for its Singapore expansions.

eWAY chief executive and founder, Matt Bullock, said the move into the Asia Pacific region was fueled by the rapidly growing e-commerce space which needed to be backed by a flexible, fully-integrated payment platform.

“E-commerce in Asia is growing at a phenomenal rate, and merchants need better options,” he said.

“Everyone is looking for convenience, self service or a person to help them through the process for online commerce, depending on their needs.

Bullock said some of the established payments players in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia had been crippled by process.

“They’re too slow for agile, fast-moving businesses,” he said.

“On the flip side, we’ve geared our business towards efficiency, and customer service. We have 24/7/365 support, live chat, and email support globally. We’re a true partner to the merchants that choose our platform, and we’re thrilled to be able to expand into new markets with them.”

Bullock said the launch of eWAY in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia was an decision because of the merchant demand for the company’s platform.

“We have both Australian businesses expanding into Asia, and Asian entrepreneurs, begging us to bring our service to the market here.

“Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia have sophisticated retail markets with savvy shoppers and we anticipate a rapid adoption of our facilities, as merchants and consumers move to the convenience of shopping online as a supplement to traditional brick and mortar shopping.

He said the company’s strength in security and fraud protection as well as its ‘follow-the-sun’ approach to customer support, which means eWAY merchants are guaranteed 24/7 phone, LiveChat, email support, as well as developer integration support, set it apart from competitors.

“There are no setup fees, monthly fees, surprise charges, or card storage fees with eWAY. We want to help businesses succeed with a powerful but cost-effective way to accept payments,”Bullock said.

“Whether you get 10 visitors a day or 10 million, eWAY just works.”

According to a company statement, the company’s platinum partnership with Symantec allows it to provide SSL encryption at a fraction of the usual cost.
